PROJECT OVERVIEw

For the second year in a row, Vogel Marketing Group partnered with Univision to design a stunning red carpet experience for the 25th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in Miami. Tasked with creating over 70 custom graphics, from 12-inch displays to 85-foot banners, our designs celebrated the milestone anniversary while complementing the event’s iconic branding. The graphics captivated live audiences and millions of viewers, balancing elegance with impact while showcasing sponsor logos prominently. With bold creativity and precision, we transformed the red carpet into an immersive backdrop, honoring the artistry and legacy of the Latin Grammys.

PHASE I: DISCOVER

The project began with an onboarding discussion led by Enrique Saldarriaga of Vogel Marketing Group, where our team reviewed brand assets provided by Blanco Lorenz. After the initial call and gaining a deep understanding of the floor plan layout, the VMG7 team moved into the Define phase, developing design style options for Univision to review. This collaborative step allowed the Univision team to select the visual direction for the 2024 Latin Grammy red carpet design and aesthetic.

PHASE II: DEFINE

After the discovery call, Vogel Marketing Group developed several conceptual designs aligned with the 2024 Latin Grammy style guide and aesthetic. Each concept was crafted to reflect the sophistication and cultural richness of the event while adding a fresh, visually striking touch. Our designs seamlessly blended with the Grammys’ branding while enhancing the red carpet experience for live and televised audiences. These concepts provided a solid foundation for collaboration, ultimately shaping the vision for a memorable and impactful red carpet.

PHASE III: DESIGN

With the final design direction approved by Univision and the Academy, Vogel Marketing Group moved into the Design phase our process. Here, our team meticulously translated the selected concept into over 70 individual graphic elements, ranging from compact 12-inch displays to massive 85-foot banners. Each piece was tailored to fit its specific location on the red carpet, ensuring a seamless and cohesive visual experience.

Led by Creative Director of Production & Design, Enrique Saldarriaga and the VMG creative department created several options for Univision to present to the Academy and its sponsors for approval.

This phase required precision and attention to detail, as our designers adapted the graphics to various formats and dimensions while maintaining consistency in style, color, and branding. By the end of the Design phase, every element was finalized, proofed, and prepped for production, ready to bring the red carpet vision to life.

Once approved, designs are optimized and tested in 3D renderings to ensure consistency and accuracy (3D renderings provided by Animus Design Studio).

PHASE Iv: DELIVER

In the final phase, Vogel Marketing Group brought the vision to life, ensuring every detail of the red carpet design was executed to perfection for a television-ready event. The culmination of our efforts was showcased on one of the most highly anticipated nights in Latin music, with the Latin Grammy Awards broadcast reaching millions of viewers worldwide. In 2023, the event attracted over 18.9 million live viewers on Univision, and the 2024 show was poised to surpass that reach, drawing global audiences and making a bold visual impact both in person and on-screen. By ensuring every graphic was camera-ready, we helped create a visually stunning red carpet experience that amplified the prestige of the event and left a lasting impression on attendees and viewers alike.
